ABOUT TADEJ KENIG
Tadej Kenig is an internationally active clarinetist and educator, serving as principal clarinetist of the Slovenian National Opera and Ballet Orchestra Ljubljana and Associate Professor of Clarinet at the Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana.
After studying with Slavko Goričar, he continued his education with François Benda at the Hochschule für Musik Basel, where he completed his postgraduate Solistendiplom with the highest honours.
His artistic career encompasses solo, chamber music, and orchestral performance, including collaborations with internationally recognised orchestras and ensembles.
As an educator, he has given masterclasses and lectures at institutions including the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Universität der Künste Berlin, Hochschule für Musik Basel, Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, the University of Novi Sad, and the University of Aberdeen.
He is the founder and artistic director of Glasbena fabr'ka Festival and the Biennial International Clarinet Masterclasses Ljubljana (BICM).
He is a Buffet Crampon artist, performing on Légende Greenline clarinets.
